Adding an event to your calendar.

  1. Login to your site.

  2. Go to the page where your calendar is located.
  3. Roll over the Calendar tool bar and click Add Event.

  4. Enter the information for the event.
    • Event Name- This is the name of your event.  It will be displayed on the calendar for users to click on to view the event details.

    • Event Shortcut- The shortcut is used to give your event an easy to remember direct address. For example if you make your shortcut “Annual Sales Meeting”, then anyone can type “www.yourwebsite.com/Annual-Sales-Meeting” to visit it. This is useful for adding keywords to URLs for search engine marketing, traditional marketing, and creating easy-to-remember landing pages.
    • When is the Event?- Enter the date of the event or use the “calendar” link to open a small calendar from which you can choose a date.

      • Multi-day Events- To enter events that occur for multiple consecutive days or repeat on a reqular schedule, simply enable them by checking the “This event repeats” checkbox. Then choose an increment and number of repetitions.
      • Notes on repeating events- Recurring events can only be specified on event creation. If you wish to edit an event’s occurrence you’ll need to remove the event and recreate it. Editing the title, description, and other parameters of the event will apply the changes to all occurrences of the event.

    • Description- Type in the details for the event.  You can also add pictures and links to the details through the image manager and links manager, respectively.

  5. Click the Update button.
